Pak cricket team doesn’t need coach: -- Afridi

Posted by live cricket Saturday, January 16, 2010

“Pakistan Cricket Team does not need a coach because the players are capable of training themselves in a better way,” Shahid Afridi told SAMAA in an exclusive talk on Saturday.

Afridi said that he does not believe in coaching. However, he admired the coaching of Pakistan Cricket Team's former coach Bob Woolmer, he added.

“The cricket team's fielding standard must be improved. There must be separate teams for the three different types of cricket games, which would eventually provide good results,” he said.

He also mentioned about the need to provide opportunity to the new young players in the cricket team. “Cricket must be promoted at the domestic level,” he added
